Nice antique shop

Easily accessed from Central London via Marylebone or Baker Street Underground, Alfies is great place to see some beautiful high end vintage Italian furniture, lights and home decor. Whilst there is an amount of silver, china and glass it is a bit limited. There's quite a bit of vintage clothing and jewellery and an assortment of interesting items to admire. However; there is less in the way of varied collectibles for those with modest to medium budgets or those hoping to find something in their particular field of interest unless they are looking for the sorts of items as previously mentioned. Apart from the two first dealers nearest the main entrance who provided a warm and friendly greeting I found I was mostly ignored or dealers were too busy chatting with each other. I didn't find the place quite as friendly or helpful as other similar establishments. The feel of the place is becoming more like high end designer furniture store. If I was in the area again I would definitely drop in to admire some of the beautiful items of decor but I wouldn't travel in from further afield because there isn't enough of the interesting little items, china and glass or collectibles that I'd like to buy.

A wonderland of antiques and accessories, clothing, and curiosities. This emporium is well worth a visit if your close by. There are objects to cater for all budgets. Spread across 4 floors with a cafe, and a fish pond. Will be retiring when I have more time.

Went to salon about 2 weeks ago. I was really scared of doing my highlights by new hairstylist. (my hair was done by polish girl) I Wasn't sure if the colour gonna match my previous one. But after all my stress ,my colour matched perfectly!! I was soo happy! Thank you! Will be back for sure! ;-)

I keep coming to this saloon, love Gosia who always does my hair perfectly well, but I seriously think you guys should pay special attention to your reception staff. I am not the first one complaining and I think clients when coming to your saloon expect a friendly, warm staff who is eager to help you and make you feel comfortable and not someone that seems owns the whole London in her belly and we clients are doing her a huge favour by coming to this place... Again, it won't stop me to see my hairdresser but you guys should fix a few things around. More humble people and less the kind that looks down on you. I understand you want someone 'pretty' and young in the reception area but quality services will keep you going for longer. Thanks!

I have always had a great cut at Millimetre’s, having come from more expensive salons but wanting to try out something less expensive for my basic cut. Haven’t looked back! Victoria is my preferred stylist - she gives the most amazing head massage during washing! She is very consistent as well. My only complaint is that the sinks are fairly uncomfortable against my neck but I can deal with that given the price and service.

If you are after the best hair cut and colour in town ask for Debbie. I had the best cut and colour in 7 years. The cut dries easily on its own - I don't have to be a skilled hair stylist to recreate a nice style and make it look good - thanks to Debbie's incredible skill. She cares hugely for her clients and the salon and is always fully booked but will bend over backwards to squeeze you in if you are super in need. Can not recommend her highly enough.

Amazing experience. Loved every minute of it. Colour was fantastic! Shampooing and drying amazing. And head massage. I am coming here all the time! Team were friendly and hospitable. Excellent customer service. Very efficient. Great coffee. Clive, the owner was so friendly. And I got some goodies in a lovely Hobs bag. I shall now be a regular customer!!! 10 out of 10! The staff in the Children’s section are friendly, helpful and excellent for recommendations for all ages and convey a real enthusiasm for reading. I have three children and we always end up buying more books than we planned but some of the personal reviews from staff have been out of this world.

Very well laid out store with extremely helpful staff. I was asked if I needed assistance which is unfortunately too rate and was a nice surprise. The assistance was prompt and professional but they did not have the book I was looking for and I was not asked if I wanted them to order it for me or told what other stores have it in stock. I really wish they had done that. Nevertheless I was impressed with the store.

I have a book addiction, so when I made a trip to London from the US I knew I had to stop by. As soon as I set foot in the store my resolution to “just look around” went right out the window. Daunt was super helpful in quoting shipment back to the states for me, and threw in a free tote bag on top. I had the most lovely package waiting for me when I returned home, each one wrapped in their signature green paper! The unique books are such a great souvenir.

Love this book store as it is so characteristic of a time past. You could quite easily spend a couple of hours here. Staff very helpful especially when I forgot my phone and then laptop ! Really appreciated the helpful and honest staff. 5 stars to them as well as this unique site.

The service provided by them to me when I purchased my Q7 was outstanding. There was a defect in the car spotted after I purchased it, without fuss (which was a massive relief for me), they took it from me and had it repaired by audi and fully serviced (again done right), in the interim I was provided with a courtesy car and was given regular updates on the progress of the repair. If I had to buy again I will look at them first. Extremely trustworthy Thanks Dan for facilitating the sale and for the support while the car got fixed!

Absolutely love it. I was allowed to enter and make soms pictures of the cars that were in the showroom. Very nice people behind the desk who allowed me to take a look at the engine and even sit in one of the cars! Excellent service and definitly reccomendable for any ferrari fan!

I have been using Southern Cross since 2008 which means 8 years reliable service, they started working on my GSX1400 back in 2009 and have never let me down so I now never go anywhere else!.They are all very nice guys, prices are competitive they are fast, honest and trust worthy but more importantly I rely on them and they don't let me down.

Called them this morning and they fitted me in immediately. Gave good honest advice and the price of the part fitted was better than eBay. They've got all my business from now on. Good work guys.

Sold a scooter through this company. They offered a very competitive price and came round to view/collect the same day. Payment was made whilst the bike was being loaded and I was treated with courtesy and friendliness throughout. Very positive experience for a seller and given my experience I would recommend them.

Good selection of bikes, prices are honest. I bought a bike and it was in good working condition. They don't service it but the bike is checked after you leave a deposit and they do an MOT if needed. The card payment is not possible but a check or bank transfer is accepted and it goes to a different company called motorcycle engineering. The warranty cover is standard for major issues.

I called ahead to setup review of a 310GS . I was well received and they went an extra mile to bring over the GS version from the shop for me. Extremely friendly staff and very knowledgeable. All current models were displayed including a fabulous S1000RR HP4 version. ( No you can't sit on this one) . Nice variety of accessories and clothing too. A visit is recommended

Picking up a new bike is always exciting but collecting it on your birthday is something very special. The hairdresser Anna is great. She was brilliant with my son during his first hair cut. We even received a certificate of honour for having his hair cut for first time at Trotters. The shop is beautiful and always loved their clothes.

This brand does the most gorgeous and traditional baby and children's clothes. The patterns and styles take me right back to my childhood. Everything in this store is timeless and beautiful quality, although it does come with a big price tag. Great for gifts. They also have a small range of books and ballet wear.

Vast selection of retro and vintage clothing, enhanced by the other retro shops on the street from the same company. Although mainly pre-owned clothing the standard is very high. I looked for fraying and only found it on items that were designed that way.

Great experience with staff who know their stuff. The designer collections are from the best brands - just need to be careful not to get too carried away! The in-store barber shop is a cool idea and now they do ladies hair I'm definitely heading back to shop whilst the other half gets a blow-dry. It's a good excuse to get away with spending some more!

I wish they would've has more stretchy clothes and tops with 3/4 sleeves... Lovely patterns and fabrics on both dresses and trousers... Unfortunately all the trousers where high waisted 🤐.

Great plus size shop. There was a nice selection of neutral pieces instead of the embellished plus size clothes that are available in the US. Staff was slightly helpful the could have been a little more attentive. Good overall experience.

IT-Logik will always go that little bit further than any support company that I have experienced in the past. This is NOT because they think that they can get a bit more money out of the customer; it is because they genuinely believe in the products and services that they provide and if a customer experiences a problem it is IT-Logik's problem too. They will resolve it and do whatever is required to stop it happening again thus improving the experience for other customers at the same time. This is always done in good humour. in my experience no one there is too important or too busy to roll up their sleeves and get to work.

These guys did a great job in fixing my laptop. I'd taken it to another repair store before them and all the bloke in there did was try and sell me a new one. The mates here repaired it and managed to recover the data at a very reasonable price and I had them install new software and updates, as well. Great service, I'm really lucky to have found them. Otherwise, I'd be stuck with an unnecessary instalment plan for a new laptop, when I have so many other things I do need to spend my money on. Thanks!

We’ve been using HPC for the maintenance of our computers for the past 5 years. They understand the importance of keeping the network working properly. On a number of occasions they have saved our system from going down and ultimately saving us from losing money.

Superb service. Dell Studio 15 is 8 years old, was incredibly slow and battery life was at about one minute. Took it to Puyan as received blue screen. Laptop was ready within three hours, at a very reasonable and discounted price. Not only was the laptop completely fixed, it is now working at a speed as if it is brand new, with a vastly improved battery life. He was happy to talk through the fixes he implemented and give advice on future maintenance. Extremely happy with the outcome, and would warmly recommend based on my experience.

I come back to this wonderful shop at least twice a year, as it is the perfect place to buy interesting gifts/things for women (wives, mothers, grandmothers, friends) from ages 16 to 110+. The shop is only two rooms, but intimate, and if you relax and look carefully, you will surely find something.

Got a lot of good stuff in there!! And the staff were very helpful and friendly. They even got excited about the project I'm working on.

Wonderful store, the outside is deceptively small and unassuming - it's bigger on the inside, and a virtual treasure trove of brilliant and high quality art supplies. The only thing stopping it from being truly perfect is them having a delivery system. There is no reason to go anywhere else, really. Full marks.

A heaven for the arts and crafts lover. They have a hugggggeee collection of raw materials used for crafts ranging from types of papers, sheets, diaries, stationaries, beads, glasses, they have got it all. Staff is very friendly and ready to help. They also have some readymade postcards, earrings etc which are definitely worth the money.

Excellent bike shop. The staff are friendly and they offer free inspection and tyre pump ups on your bike. Couldn't go wrong with cycle surgery.

It was suppose to be a simple puncture fix and it turned out a lot harder. Euan gave me great advise and did even price match so I could get new tyres. Absolutely great full for his help and fixing my wheels.

Fantastic service! They checked my bike, inflated the wheels and gave me some tips on how to maintain it. Really patient at my inexperience with bikes, explaining every step on how to treat a rusty chain. Really appreciated!

I didn't have a hex key for my brompton saddle so I couldn't use it. I went in and asked if the guy at the till could help me, which he did. He got the key and adjusted the saddle for me. Many thanks! 4 stars because I called beforehand just incase but they didn't answer.

I am so sad to hear this branch is closing down. The most amazing service ever in a bike shop . I was desperate as I was looking for a specific bike but none of the shops had my size.. I was turned away from Evans, and other shops .. they all said they only have the specific size and that is it. In cycle surgery Camden there was a gentleman Ed .. he had the initiative to call Cube in Germany and order the bike specifically for me. It was not a cheap bike, and I am really happy to say this is the best service I received in a long time and I have been working in the industry (customer service) for more than ten years

After reading on Homebase website that the item I wanted was in stock I turned up to the shop to buy it as it's not possible to do so on the website. To my dismay not only was the item not in stock ,when going to customer services there was one person working there was also a long queue of frustrated customers. Really !! This is not how you run a business. I walked out. Disappointed Homebase. After this review Homebase called me and rectified the problem. They ordered me the item and called me when it had arrived. This was very good service.

You can find whatever's you need bolts screws electrical when i go to the big stores i cant find something i know when i go to tylers it will be their and you get good knowledgable advice from the owners instead of staff hiding they come up and help this store is a treasure trove for diy enthusiasts!!

Just visited Local Tool Hire Camden branch and I must say, it was a pleasure doing business with them. I received excellent customer service accompanied with friendly staff.

Second time renting a carpet cleaner from HSS St. John's Wood. The last time, the soap dispenser did not work and I had to go all the way back (by taxi) on my dime to get a new adapter wand. They credited me for the bottle of soap (7.00 on a 15.00 taxi ride). But the chap was very apologetic and courteous, so I figured I'd try again. This time I booked online to get a discount on delivering the unit to save on taxi fare. When the delivery man arrived, the top of the cleaning solution broke and half the bottle was (thankfully) in the machine and easy enough to save for cleaning. However, there was a piece that appeared broken on the part of the machine that retracts the water. The delivery guy said that it was tested, so it should be fine. Fine it was not. It is leaking dirty water all over the carpet (making the cleaning that much more meaningful). I called to report the issue. Once again, the chap on the phone was very sweet, noting they'd send another machine to swap out tomorrow. The problem is, I've emptied out two rooms and vacuumed everything with the intent to get it all done today. I really want to like this place, but two broken carpet cleaners on two separate occasions = last time using HSS. How hard can it be to make sure these units work properly before they leave the shop?

Wow! When it comes to flowers, these guys are the best!

We used In Water Flowers for our wedding and we were utterly wowed with our reception room as well as the bouquets. The service from start to finish was not only flawless but very personal and everyone was very helpful which was great considering I knew nothing about flowers. My wife and I would highly recommend them.

Local Delicatessen making fresh pasta on site daily. Superb selection of home made sauces to accompany the pasta. Saturday is Ham on the bone made in their kitchen and also to die for home made traditional polpette(meatballs). Too many other things to list go along you will not be dissapointed.

Lovely little local deli. They have fresh ready made pastas you can take home and heat up, sauces, desserts, meats, cheeses, wines and lots more. Service with a smile!

This is the loveliest little deli. Everything from the setting in the picturesque Mount St. with a wonderful little churchyard garden just round the corner, to the array and quality of food and last, not least, the staff behind it whom I proudly call friends. Is there anything more wonderful in an ordinary day when you look forward to a cup of coffee - with limited selection in Mayfair this is definitely the most flavourful -and you are welcomed by name at the door while your coffee is already in the making.

Peppercorns is a gem. It has been in West Hampstead for a long time, and the new location is just as good as the old. Fabulous choice of supplements & vitamins - the owners always have a great knowledge of the best product for you & never try to sell you anything you don't need! Tavi the store manager is absolutely charming and extremely helpful and attentive. My greatest old friend and I went watch shopping and he made the experience a pleasure from start to finish. We both left with a couple of beautiful time pieces and big smiles on our faces! Tavi is a class act and an asset to Ernest Jones. It was like shopping in a jewellers on New Bond Street.

Simply amazing place. Easy to find on a corner area on the ground floor. Alisha , the supervisor was so helpful in finding out wedding rings. She was so patient and knowledgeable that I just had to leave a review. We shopped around all the major jewellery stores and none had the variety and value of h Samuel. And I'm talking about goldsmiths and Ernest Jones . None were as good as this store. Our experience was great because a different staff member accidentally put a few rings on the wrong priced display which read £199, although the ring was actually £300. Alisha (the supervisor) said she was sorry and she will give us the ring for the displayed price of £199 on not just one ring but two. She was so helpful but most of off very honest and didn't seem she was pushing us to buy anything. Would recommend buying from here and from Alisha. 10/10 experience

Good customer service but took a while to get served and unfortunately there was lots of items missing from their stands.

This Kathmandu is especially good for luggage and travel storage products (see the basement floor). Their range is great if you're going on a trip and need options to allow you to travel compactly. Their luggage and bag options are well designed compared to their competitors, and are reasonably priced.

Very welcoming and helpful staff who knew what they were talking about. Unluckily there is not that big variety of items, but we managed to find all that we needed.

I like EB shops esp the bigger ones like Covent Garden but if you are shopping for mountain/ski gear you have to understand that they only stock high end. A couple of years ago an alpine shell was £250 ish now you're looking at £450 plus. A ski jacket for £200 was decent and a top brand £350. Now they are selling Kjus jackets at approx £1400.

Nice people's is there. Honest and helping persons. They have good parking space. Quality of products is very good. Everyday many customers is comes here for shopping. All staff are good and very good customer services. They have many branches in this country. Store is works as a good landmark also.

The selection is good and prices are reasonable when on sale with knowledgeable and super helpful staff (ski section at least). Only issue is it can be understaffed so service while you have it is great but can take a while to get.

I love this place. Really care about animals and know their stuff. Perhaps some of staff are reserved so maybe that’s why the other 1 star reviews but I think that’s unfair. They’re nice people with good stock at decent prices.

Great pet store!!! Looks deceptively small from the outside... but once you go in, it’s HUGE!! Really nice staff, and everything you could to take of anything from a dormouse, to an elephant! If you have any kind of pet, or even if you just want to feed the birds in your garden, this is the best place to come to for everything you need.

Large pet and pet supply store located off Kilburn High Rd. Very well stocked and always seeking to improve. Extensive aquarium supply. Small animals and birds sold on site. Although pet stores are increasingly rare in the city, by putting animal welfare and psychology first, it should continually improve.

The team at this salon are second to none! My long haired American Akita had not been groomed in over nine months, and his coat (despite my best efforts with the comb at home) was very matted in patches. He is also a large, strong boy who is not great with strangers. I was a little apprehensive as I dropped him off at lunch time, the groomer at first seemed a little unsure about him. After I left I was expecting a call all afternoon to say he has become unmanageable and I needed to come collect him! However, my fears were unfounded, because six hours (two groomers and many black bin liners of hair) later I received a call from the lovely Eva to advise he was ready for collection. When I arrived, they had done a beautiful job, and better still my dog was relaxed and looking stunning, as well as smelling a lot sweeter (lol)! Considering that two groomers and six hours had been required, the price was extremely reasonable as well. I had used previously other pet salons in the area (Nottinghill is expensive for anything) and they had been costly and not done such a great job as the team at Pet Pavilion. We have agreed that I will have my dog groomed every two months now and I will definitely be back as the service was excellent and the team are lovely. I highly recommend this pet grooming salon.

Finally I found best pet shop in West London. When you book your appointment you can hear beautiful voice. Even when I was not happy with day of appointment they called me during the week when they had cancelation and offered me earlier time and day. Very reasonable price. Service is amazing. Bea who was doing first time dog grooming service and now every time I am asking to do hair cutting in the same way.

The big asian manager was an absolute pleasure. He helped me with my purchase. Staffs were friendly. Best sport direct I have been in.

I just wanted to say thank you I was looking for the new season tshirt from Fulham Football Club and I was very surprise that you actually store it ! My first guess was the Adidas store on the first floor who might do it, but NO ! They only store big clubs, after tried at Direct sport and when I ask if they have the shirt they told me in a joking way they don’t like FFC in the shop !! Fair enough ..... so after désappointement.... I was thinking to go to the club as we passed JD Sport .... and surprise ! You got it !!! Thank you for supporting local club, Fulham club is just around the corner, so we’ll done to you ! And I love my shirt and the size is spot on !

Richard Miller was helpful, not pushy and explained which racket would suit my style of play. He didn't try the horrible hard sell and I ended up with the superb Wilson Burn racket. They have a very wide selection and cater from beginner to pro. I have spent forever looking online and returning duds this was such a relief, I would highly recommend this place if you need help choosing a racket amongst the hundreds out there.

They allowed me to look at the rackets at my pace and when I was ready a sales person was very helpful in selecting a Wilson Ultra countervail 100 with a Limited Edition color scheme . I'm disappointed that I was not told that there was a small room to hit and try the racket. Otherwise a very positive experience!

Gorgeous little local art shop with really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Some of the products were maybe a little rough around the edges, but generally a good selection and a lovely place to walk around and get inspired!

We went for afternoon tea in "The Place to Eat." The desert section had so many yummy choices! The server was helpful in identifying what each one was and shared her personal recommendation. I went with her favourite and was not disappointed! Mixed Berry Eaton Mess Cheesecake was divine! Topped off with a lovely pot of tea and my afternoon was perfect! John Lewis is the place to Eat!

Excellent service, I popped into Moreno and spoke to one of the sales guys (Daniel I think) and explained to him what I like and he suggested about a half dozen wines he thought I'd really like. I asked him to pick one for me which he did and wow!!!! A perfect pick, I couldn't believe it! Their wines are more expensive that the wine you get at your run of the mill supermarket but not by much and given the quality of the wine and the service level I think it's worth it.
