London Dentist - Smile Cliniq St Johns Wood

102 Boundary Rd, St John's Wood, London NW8 0RH, UK – 020 7328 1200

I went to Smile Cliniq because I cracked my front tooth. Having previously had root canal treatment and tooth whitening I knew exactly where to go to get it sorted with all staff taking such pride in their work. Their service is simply professional and impeccable. The care and approach from the team is amazing. I went in very nervous because it was my front tooth. Dr Kaher explained everything calmly and attentively. I’ve had a tooth taken out, a temporary denture and an implant. The final result looks so good and I can finally, after many years, bite into something using my front tooth without worrying about it cracking. The aesthetic finish is awesome. Without a doubt, I would recommend Smile Cliniq and truly understand why it is London’s leading dentistry.

Fantastic service, friendly staff and honest. By far the best experience I’ve ever had at a dental clinic. Particular big thank you to Dr Ravinder’s professional service and attention to detail, it’s the first time I’ve been able to relax as I felt it very safe hands. Highly recommended.

Excellent service. The health of my teeth and gums have been transformed by Mr Ghaffapour's treatment.

The staff were very friendly and professional. This includes the reception staff, dentist and hygienist. Would highly recommend this practise to others.

Bupa Dental Centre Marylebone Manchester Square

25 Manchester Square, Marylebone, London W1U 3PY, UK – 020 3797 1876

Julia is the best hygienist in town - I'm so glad I found her. She does terrific job and is extremely thorough. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great hygienist, especially those that are used to North American dental practices.

Doctors serving the Paddington area

Staverton Surgery

51 Staverton Rd, London NW2 5HA, UK – 020 8459 1359

Love my doctors I see there. Yes the wait times are long but that just means they are being thorough with their patients instead of turfing them out after the 15 min allocated slot. The receptionists are efficient and really lovely. May come across as rude to some but they are answering an ever ringing phone and dealing with 100 people yelling at them a day. Cut them some slack if you catch them on a bad day!

The Bush Doctors

147 Shepherd's Bush Green, Hammersmith, London W12 8PP, UK – 020 8749 1882

Fantastic doctors who genuinely care about their patients. The reception team are helpful too. Getting appointments is tricky, but that's the standard in surgeries these days.

Great surgery, amazing staff. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Dr Pamini is always thorough.

Knightsbridge Doctors

15 Basil Mansions, Basil St, Knightsbridge, London SW3 1AP, UK – 020 7589 8965

Apart from an initial misunderstanding about which practice to go to (I didn't realize there were two in London) I found all the staff very helpful and kind. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout the whole procedure and at every point a staff member took the time to explain the process to me. Thank you

We went here for our health checks for migration purposes and the staff were professional, polite and efficient. The only con is that they are quite expensive.

Royal Free Hospital

Pond St, Hampstead, London NW3 2QG, UK – 020 7794 0500

We were given the most wonderful care and support for our Mum in the last days of her life. The ward staff were kind and compassionate, the Doctors helped us with making difficult decisions and the palliative care team were amazing. Our Mum could not have been better cared for and was able to end her life with dignity.

My father had secondary liver cancer and is currently being treated at Royal free. The surgery went well and the care he is receiving in ICU is excellent. The nurses give the impression that they want to be there rather then have to be there. I have not given 5 as he is still there so will want to see how is treated in a ward. He has been to other hospitals but this has to be the best so far. Dr Davidson and his team carried out the surgery. Just an update on 24 April 2018, my father recovered well in ICU, he was well taken care of. He is home now with ongoing issues but it seems the cancer has gone. I would recommend this hospital.

King Edward VII's Hospital

5-10 Beaumont St, Marylebone, London W1G 6AA, UK – 020 7486 4411

Only hospital I am able to breathe in! Had life saving surgery and believe my full recovery is partly due to the outstanding care and promptness in seeing my consultant and any tests incurred. All the staff went out of their way to make an unpleasant experience into a life changing one as I now no longer fear my visits there. Thankyou.

I visited Doctor Today and was very happy with the service. The doctor put me at ease, was very informative and helpful and gave me blood tests with same day results! Thank you again

I am beyond impressed with this very clean and comfortable doctors surgery. My appointment ran on time which is a really good start! The receptionist is so helpful and polite which is very important as first point of contact and made me feel very at ease. The Doctor was very kind and gentle as well as very professional and made me feel extremely relaxed during an examination I was frankly dreading. I would highly recommend this surgery to anyone as it makes going to the doctors a pleasant experience and not something to dread (I still can't say the same about my dentist!) . Thank you Doctors today I will definitely be seeing you soon!

Portobello Clinic

12 Raddington Rd, London W10 5TG, UK – 020 8962 0635

David O’Neil - Physiotherapist I was referred to David whilst in London, during late November 2017; for treatment of a very painful shoulder injury which I had previously sustained in Australia whilst doing gym exercises. After three treatment appointments with David, and adhering to his planned rehabilitation program, my injury miraculously healed. I became pain free in three weeks after my first appointment. Now, back in Australia I am still very healthy and can perform gym exercises with complete ease and confidence. I am in my 7th decade of life and have a renewed level of fitness. I therefore recommend David to anyone who needs help with sports injuries. Importantly, David has a friendly manner with an innate way of verbal encouragement. Thanks again David, from a very thankful Aussie. Cheers David Manley

Travel Clinics

Nomad Travel Clinic & Travel Store

11 S Molton St, Mayfair, London W1K 5QP, UK – 01341 555061

I visited the Nomad Travel clinic today for Antimalarial medication. The clinic/store could do with a little smartening up but apart from that it was a positive experience all around. I was advised on the phone of the cost of the medication and the consultation fee with the nurse (£15) but I wasn't told about the medicine charge (£10), hence the 4 star review. The clinic also has a small store with useful travel essentials.

Really could not have been any better - recommend 100%. Super knowledgeable and friendly nurse. Even advised me against an unnecessary vaccination as I was already covered.

The Green Light Travel Clinic

6 Cricklewood Broadway, London NW2 3HD, UK – 020 8452 4382

The Attendance and support from the front desk and the nurse was amazing! The Saturday workers have to be one of my favourite people to be attended by! My experience was really wholesome and incredible! Without them I wouldn’t be prepared for my expedition!

Great travel clinic! Quick service and reliable advice on all travel vaccines. Highly recommend!

Hampstead Heath Pharmacy, Travel Health & Vaccination Clinic

35 S End Rd, Hampstead, London NW3 2PY, UK – 020 7435 7075

Thank you to Mahyar who gave us great advice on travel vaccines. He explained it all in a simple but thorough way. He really knows what he talking about. And competitive prices too!An absolute asset to the pharmacy team!

I was travelling to East Africa for a friend's wedding and was very anxious about my travels/vaccines. The service I got was great and very re-assuring. I felt that all my questions were answered by the pharmacist and I left feeling more at ease about my upcoming travels. This would be a great place for those of you who are looking for somewhere to get your travel vaccines.

I look after an elderly lady who is registered here. She has had regular appointments in the 5 years I have been with her, and the service delivery has been helpful and of a good quality. On the one occasion I had to use it myself, I also found them helpful.

I find the practice well run. I find the reception staff helpful and most of the receptionists understand why an appointment is needed. They ring back when they say and in the main work under extreme pressure.

Shu Jun Healthcare

4 Marylands Rd, London W9 2DZ, UK – 020 7286 1442

I've been coming to Shu Jun Healthcare team for over 4 years, it started as a Groupon experiment as I was fed up with useless and expensive physio appointments and I haven't looked back since. They have managed to help me with my back issues so competently that I barely remember the agony I used to be in sitting at my desk. Sport injuries are also something they helped me and my husband with and most recently I was due to be induced as my pregnancy was overdue but before my induction was due to take place I consulted Shu Jun and they prescribed a course of moxybustion and acupuncture. After 3 treatments my contractions started and no induction was necessary. I am hugely grateful and delighted with the results I've received from all my treatments! I highly recommend both the massage for medicinal, therapeutic and relaxing purposes as well as the acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping depending on different ailments. Extremely professional and knowledgeable experienced staff!

I've received treatments from this excellent clinic ever since it opened, it is highly recommended. the staff are warm, helpful and experienced

The London Acupuncture Clinic

57A Wimpole St, Marylebone, London W1G 8YP, UK – 020 7935 2030

I was advised to try acupuncture by my GP. I did my research online and I found the London Acupuncture Clinic. I have been followed my Martha and I have seen improvements since the first session. Martha is highly professional, friendly and knowledgeable and I felt extremely comfortable and at ease as Martha clearly explained all procedures and their desired results. I want to share my positive experience and I would advise acupuncture to just anyone. Thank you very much Martha!

I went to the London Acupuncture Clinic for fertility. Having had the standard fertility tests, I had been told that my chances of conceiving naturally were low and should look at IVF and other options. I started acupuncture with Jason at the clinic as soon as I was told this and within three months I fell pregnant naturally with my beautiful baby girl. I cannot recommend the clinic and Jason highly enough. Thank you.

Organic Hammersmith

52 Shepherds Bush Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 7PH, UK – 020 7602 8603

My mother has been frequenting this establishment consistently for a few years and has always spoken highly of the practitioners. During a visit home last year, she suggested I seek treatment but being very fond of my acupuncturist in Brooklyn, I was skeptical that they could live up to her hype. While I love acupuncture, I am very needle phobic hence why I'm attached to my regular acupuncturist. I was very pleasantly surprised and have made it a practice of having a treatment here whenever I'm in London. The practitioners are attentive, kind, very agile with the needles, so much so that I often don't feel them, and the positive effects last and last. The massages are firm and the cupping some of the most vigorous I've ever had. I love coming here and appreciate these lovely women immensely.

Having tried a number of acupuncturists, I stumbled upon Organic Hammersmith while walking from Hammersmith to Shepherds Bush and half-heartedly went it to make an appointment. The ladies at Reception are so warm and welcoming and made me feel at ease and some of my apprehension eased. After the initial consultation, the lady doctor understood exactly the treatment I required and has been treating me regularly for nearly three years. I call her the ‘magic lady’ because after every combined treatment of acupuncture, cupping and massage, my whole being feels rejuvenated. Thank you ladies for your excellent service.

Gemma Clare Holistic Health & Skincare Expert / Facialist / Industry Consultant

13 Harley St, Marylebone, London W1G 9QG, UK – 07821 413174

Gemma is fantastic, I first came across Gemma when I booked my partner for a massage & after he said it was so good so I booked myself in. I have body aches & lots of tight muscles, Gemma was able to relive a lot of my pain, both my partner and I started to see Gemma every month as we were addicted to her amazing technique and knowledge of the body. After each massage we would notice our bodies feeling better & better. I've never felt so great after a massage, it's a treatment you have to experience. You leave feeling extremely relieved. Gemma also makes her own natural body creams and oils which are used during the massage, she has different blends for different client requirements. I am now living out of the UK & I am so excited to see Gemma for a massage when I return, I haven't found anyone as good as her. I have also had the anti ageing facial with Gemma which was fantastic, she used amazing products and the facial massage was glorious. Book yourself in, you won't be disappointed!

One of the best facial I ever had. The place is very clean, very quiet; Gemma was very Professional & courtesy... Her space has a great atmosphere-Warm, cosy and Quiet with great music designed to give the best time. I highly recommend Her, My skin looks so much better after all her advises.

Hampstead Chiropractic Clinic

I have been visiting this practice for around 10 months for ongoing back and neck pain. I have had the pleasure of being treated by all of the staff at Hampstead Chiropractic and have nothing but positive reviews. They all provide excellent service and have really helped with my physical improvements. For the most part, I see Nina as I find her knowledge and experience fantastic, and her treatment is excellent. She always provides me with excellent communication and customer service to ensure that I am getting the best possible treatment that is most convenient for me. She has been flexible with her time, and is very personable. I see her once a month, and during the treatment, she is positive and warm and friendly. I highly recommend this practice. The girls here have done wonders for my back and neck pain, along with other minor issues that I have. I continue to go back because not only is the treatment of the highest quality, but also because it is such a friendly and happy place to get treatment. Nina does an amazing job running this business, and I would recommend it to anybody!

I have regularly lower back pain since my car accident 6 years ago and I just couldn’t find out what it’s happening with me. I play football nearly everyday for a semi pro - pro team and I was struggling in the last weeks to give my best, and I decided to give Nina Van Dyk a try who actually find out my problem straight away from first sessions and also big pain it’s gone already. I highly recommend them !!! Believe in what they’re gonna do with you and I guarantee you will be happy without pain in your life !!! Soon I will get back to follow my football dream !!! Thank you Ladies you changed my life already and I will always come back to you even if I will have no pain anymore. Thank you it’s not in off!!! Life changing Hampstead Chiropractic Clinic 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏

London Family Chiropractic

102 Liddell Gardens, London NW10 3QE, UK – 07947 560975

After suffering from quite serious back and neck pain for some time, and having attended other chiropractors, the treatment I received from Ben at London Family Chiropractors has helped me immensely. Ben was friendly, took time to listen and understand what the problem was and not only provided excellent treatment, but gave lots of advice and practical instruction on follow up preventative exercises. Highly recommended.

Reflex Health Chiropractors

2 Wimpole St, Marylebone, London W1G 0EB, UK – 020 7228 6906

It a great clinic located in the "Health" district of London, where I have been seeing Dr Ari there. I had very bad headaches that I could not deal with anymore, I have approached Dr.Ari as I had a suspicion that it was related to my spine/neck alignment. Over a course of treatments and exercises that he has recommended, my headaches and overall health has drastically improved! I am a very happy customer and I will continue with my treatments to maintain the correct body alignment. Thank you

A thoroughly helpful and informative practise with great service and advice. They have helped me with lower back issues caused by years of rugby with no proper treatment. My back felt 100% very quickly and further care to maintain that healthy standard has been fantastic.

Homeopathy around Paddington

Hautman Homeopathy

82 York Street, London, Marylebone W1H 1QP, UK – 07766 057823

I had aroma touch therapy with Jenny and It was such an uplifting experience. Highly recommended!

Jenny has helped my 85 year old mother immeasurably with repeated urinary tract infections and bladder inflammation. After trying many different ways to manage this problem, I took mum to Jenny who prescribed a remedy that had a powerful effect. Over a period of a few months, each time Jenny advised mum to take the remedy there was a positive change in her symptoms and the most recent time has resulted in her becoming symptom free. Mum has been in a cycle of either infection or inflammation for 5 years without respite so being completely symptom-free is something of a RESULT! Jenny also prescribed a particular aromatherapy oil blend for when mum gets distressed (she is of an age when her friends are regularly getting sick and dying which she finds very upsetting). I wasn't sure whether mum would use it but she has and told me that she finds it very comforting to put some on her forehead at night and that it helps her to sleep better. So this has been hugely useful too. If you go to see Jenny you will meet someone who is kind, good humoured and very knowledgeable. She was very considerate of my mum's age and vulnerability for which I was grateful. I have no hesitation in recommending her.

Francis Treuherz MA RSHom FSHom Registered Homeopath

2 Exeter Rd, London NW2 4SP, UK – 020 8450 6564

In my experience Dr Treuherz takes the time that is needed for each session. So if he thinks he knows the remedy very quickly he will tell you. If more time is needed he will tell you that also. In terms of his capacity as a doctor I could not recommend Dr Treuherz enough. I have found him especially knowledgable and a truly remarkable person with a vast library on homeopathy. His remedies have been successful for the ailments my family has come to him for. Definitely one of the 'old guard' and a recommended physician.

He is one of the finest homeopaths I have known. Each one of his sessions are worth

Specsavers Opticians Edgware Road - Marble Arch

173 Edgware Rd, London W2 2HR, UK – 020 7706 0404

Well the much awaited revamp has happened. It hasn't obviously increased stock capacity but the layout seems much improved. The displays are clearly priced from £25 upwards to £165, frame plus different types of lenses too and the lighting above the racks is kinder on the eye and the complexion ! There's a tablet desk near the entrance so you can check out the website to order in a colour choice or use the ' how would l look in these frames' facility. For those of us who are very myopic this is invaluable. You no longer have to ask strangers in store what they think or press yourself up to the mirror and squint at your reflection. Staff won't let you select an unsuitable frame for your prescription or an unflattering one. The aftercare is brilliant too. No matter what kind of clutzy things you subject your new glasses to, they're ready willing and able to put them to rights, which makes the initial heavy financial outlay on new specs feel less painful. Never be frightened either to delay your choice by writing down style reference numbers you like, then checking them on line later to help you decide. Don't buy under pressure. Ask about donating your old frames to a charity too.The cleaning and adjustment machine is now just beside the till so getting a quick spruce really easy.

Brilliant customer service, good waiting time, fair prices, and accurate results, as well as a variety of glasses to choose from and clear communication between them and the customer

Vision Express Opticians

109 Queensway, Bayswater, London W2 4SJ, UK – 020 7727 1888

I had a great service here today- I came in 20 mins late to a free eye appointment (I'm a Lenstore.co.uk customer), but the staff were not angry and served me right away. I found out my prescription fell, but only by a little bit, so was hesitant about buying new lenses. The optometrist was not pushy about sales. I did have a problem with the nose bridge pads in my glasses digging in too much, and they replaced it with a brand new, much more comfortable one for free! I thought it was a very nice gesture, and I will return as a regular customer in the future.

Great customer service and fast assistance!

Vision Express Opticians

159 Kensington High St, Kensington, London W8 6SU, UK – 020 7937 9911

My optometrist was Shayda and she did a great job showing me the different scenarios with the remake of my glasses.. she kindly explained different options and took her time to sort out the problem and in the end she made me feel welcome to return if anything was needed again; I've been there couple of times and the staff are also very friendly; shout out to my associate Alexandra and the Armenian girl there.

Excellent service and staff. well trained team and the team leader Hodan has been superb. well done.

Hampstead Osteopathy

194 West End Ln, London NW6 1SG, UK – 020 7435 8833

When I went to see Ben Posen I could barely walk and my back was completely twisted. In less than a week Ben had me walking straight and almost pain free! He is not only professional and extremely good at what he does, but he also has a way of making his clients feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend Ben.

When my hip went out I was reluctant to go to the doctor for fear of replacement surgery so I tried osteopathy for the first time. I'm very glad to have found Ben Posen. He gave me his full attention, and, as well as a little gentle treatment, exercises to strengthen the surrounding area. I'm now, gratefully, healing nicely. Definitely recommended.

Been here for two lower back incidents a few years apart. Both times the treatment was very good. But main value is in the accuracy of the diagnosis and advice on managing the problem yourself so that you don't have to go and see them!

Physiotherapy in W9

Central Health Physiotherapy @ St John's Wood

Platinum Medical Centre, 15-17 Lodge Rd, London NW8 7JA, UK – 020 7404 6343

Katriona first explained the extent of my injury and the recovery process. She helped make my recovery interactive, stimulating and just about pain free. I actually enjoyed the sessions we had together With her guidance, I healed much faster than anticipated and was able to quickly resume my normal daily life Recommended to anyone and everyone!

Sean has really helped me following a recent foot operation. He is a positive, caring , helpful and exceptionally professional. His great sense of humour kept me going at all times and I would really recommend him and his service.

Physiotherapy London (Marble Arch & Canary Wharf)

21 Bryanston St, Paddington, London W1H 7AB, UK – 020 7493 7570

I was recommended Physiotherapy London by my personal trainer who classes them as the best Physio in London. After my visit I can also concur with this opinion. The service was professional and Marinus my physio was extremely knowledgable. Not only giving me practical exercises to take away but also helping me to work through mental blocks that have previously slowed my rehabilitation. First class experience.

After one session with Physiotherapy London, I was further forward than I had been after a year’s treatment with the NHS. My physio was clear and utterly professional; firstly by listening and questioning to establish my medical history and symptoms then, by explaining the treatment plan and prognosis. I was referred to a specialist podiatrist immediately and was given a set of exercises tailored to address my injuries. I left feeling optimistic, well cared for and with my pain greatly reduced after massage and strapping to my foot. I would thoroughly recommend Physiotherapy London for both their ability to target and deal with my injury and, for their friendly and professional approach.

Six Physio Kensington

15 Young St, Kensington, London W8 5EH, UK – 020 7937 8877

I underwent a shoulder replacement last year and pleased to say that I wouldn't have made such good recovery with out Tim, Richard & Lucy. They are all great physios and highly recommended.

I have been going to Six Physio in Kensington for the last couple of months after suffering some back and leg pain which started over a year ago. I had been to at least two other physiotherapy places and we were moving so needed to find a new place. I was impressed by their website - I wanted to treat the underlying cause of my pain not just alleviate symptoms. It's a promise I feel they are keeping. My physiotherapists (Hayley and Richie) are so wonderful. They give me helpful advice and the treatments and exercises they have given me are actually helping me progress. I have really benefited from their approach. I thought my previous physiotherapists were good, but honestly, I wasn't improving - just treating symptoms and the few exercises I was given didn't activate the target muscles they should have. At Six Physo they have taken the time to ensure the exercises work the correct muscles and if not adjust the exercises accordingly so that I am not wasting my time. Additonally everyone I've met and spoke with at the Kensington branch have been friendly and helpful which also makes the experience more enjoyable. If you are in need of physio, I would wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Psychiatrists serving W9

Dr Alberto Pertusa - Psychiatrist

7 Lisson Grove, Marylebone, London NW1 6SH, UK – 07714 203320

I am a matrimonial solicitor and have worked alongside Dr Pertusa for the last 14 months on a number of matters, where we have assisted mutual clients/patients in attempting to assist them getting “back on track”. I found Dr Pertusa to be extremely helpful and understanding, whilst at the same time maintaining a professional and objective stance. I believe Dr Pertusa to be insightful, realistic and pragmatic. Having worked closely with Dr Pertusa on a number of sensitive and demanding matters I found his robust, determined and compassionate approach refreshing and enlightening. Indeed, there were a number of occasions when Dr Pertusa went above and beyond what I had experienced with other doctors, and for example, taking time out on a Saturday to attend to a mutual patient/client who required urgent attention/assistance in respect of drug dependency. Dr Pertusa adopts an objective approach and is not swayed by any emotional pressure that his patients, or fellow professionals, may place on him, realising that at times the greater good is more important that the short-term gain. I found Dr Pertusa to be highly insightful and considerate when dealing with what can only be described as extremely delicate and difficult situations. In the event that I have a client who requires a psychiatrist in the future, I would have no hesitation in referring them to Dr Pertusa as I believe that he would have their best interests at heart.

I have had the pleasure of working closely with Dr. Pertusa to deliver outstanding patient care. Dr. Pertusa strives to uphold the core values and principles of the medical profession by pursuing a wholistic approach to patient care and ensuring continuous successful treatment plans. His broad and up to date knowledge and qualifications in this field of medicine and his professionalism would be of utmost value to anyone in search of a consultant in this field. A brilliant overall service!

Psychiatrist: Dr Gerald Woolfson

62 Wimpole St, Marylebone, London W1G 8AJ, UK – 020 7935 3400

Earlier this year when I was struggling badly, I was lucky enough to meet DR Gerald Woolfson. I needed admitting to a care facility, after discharging myself from North London Priory 10 minutes after checking in . . . At that point, I decided the only choice I had to was to find a psychiatrist on the internet and go from there. This was easier said that done but my number one choice from available reviews was Dr Woolfson and I got an appointment with him a couple of days later. At our first meeting, Dr Woolfson, in his own way, thoroughly investigated my history and what the problems could be. It turned out to be amazing, how accurate his diagnosis was, from a brief initial meeting. On his recommendation I was admitted to the Cortijo Care Clinic in Marbella, which I cannot recommend highly enough. While I was there he kept in touch with the staff about how I was doing. Yes, Dr Woolfson’s services are not cheap but he is highly skilled and that comes at a price

Dr Woolfson is an excellent psychiatrist. We have seen him for the last six years and could not recommend him more highly. He has been invaluable when there has been a crisis. Anyone who has experienced a mental heath crisis will know how important and rare it is to find a doctor who goes above and beyond when things are very difficult. Thank you.

Psychotherapy around Paddington

Centre For Counselling & Psychotherapy Education

Beauchamp Lodge, 2 Warwick Cres, London W2 6NE, UK – 020 7266 3006

CCPE is an organisational member of UKCP. They offer training programmes that are experiential in nature and loosely based on the Sufi teachings. There is an administrative office in the building for the Sufi Order and the director and owner, Nigel Hamilton, is the UK representative for Sufi Order International. The building, whilst quite scruffy and austere in nature, enjoys great sweeping views over the nearby canal. What you need to know if thinking about studying at this place is that the diploma course contains almost 60 students this year. That means you are unlikely to get to know all students very well, experiential weekend groups are large and it can be a struggle to get a seat for lectures. However, the plus side is that you can get to know potentially a lot of people (although most students are white and middle class, in common with other training institutes). It needs to be said that the overall student experience at CCPE could be improved upon. For example, any additional tutorials incur extra charges. There is no WIFI coverage that the students can access at the College and the library essentially amounts to a locked cupboard containing a few books and journals. The lecture room has an old PA system that is very unstable and unless you are in the front row you will struggle to hear softly spoken presenters. There are some poor lecturers (some just read from a handout) and rarely is there a joined up approach to the teaching programme (each lecturer or weekend facilitator rarely knows what is next on the timetable apart from their particular piece). Front office staff, in common with most other places offering similar courses, tend to be lowly paid and lacking in basic customer skills. That aside there is a lot going for this place. There are some very skilled facilitators working on the teaching programme here too. Also, the ethos of the place is not to stipulate one particular way to practicing as a therapist and there is no one real prescribed route to qualification. There is an emphasis on the integrative approach. Indeed, students are largely left to draw upon the aspects of the training that especially appeals to them individually rather than adhering to a 'one cap fits all' approach. That approach will work if you want to think for yourself and develop in your own way.

I attended CCPE as a student on the diploma course between 2011 and 2014. I endorse the professional courses on offer at the Centre, which are integrative including psycho-spiritual. Most of the experiential aspects of the training programmes are of a decent standard.

Rupert French Reflexology at St John's Osteopathy and Acupuncture

Abbey Gardens, London NW8 9AT, UK – 07779 789939

I’ve been going to Rupert for reflexology treatments for almost two years now and every time I see the benefits of this methods. I’ve had for a long time lower back pain, problems on the knee and sometime I wouldn’t sleep properly. Before going to Rupert I’ve tried different methods, tried different physiotherapist and chiropractic, without any real improvement. So, one day I heard about plantar reflexology and found Rupert in an article saying that he was one of the best in London, so I decided to have a go and after the first treatment I know why that article said that! I felt immediately better, over time my back improved and my sleep too, plus after the treatment you feel really relaxed, better than any spa day-massage treatment I ever had. That said, for me Rupert he’s an excellent reflexologist and human being, that will listen to your needs and taking care of you, I definitely recommend you to try reflexology and its overall benefits.

I was lucky enough to get in to Rupert's diary at the last minute; I was suffering from an acute attack of sciatica and needed to be fit for an imminent holiday. Truly, I was gobsmacked at how good the results were from a 40+ minute treatment. 4 days later and I am feeling great - and off skiing tomorrow with a spring in my step. Thank you so much Rupert!!
